Because I’m parking my car all over the neighborhood, I’m discovering areas I haven’t visited before. I discovered the most lovely Hawthorn tree I’ve ever seen the other day. It’s beauty and form is truly something. Maybe I’ll take my camera and get a photo of her. She is quite old with a little faery door in her trunk. Her branches spread out over the sidewalk like an umbrella. And she is just overloaded with haws. Yes, that is what the berries of the hawthorn tree are called. Haws.
I plucked a bunch (after leaving an offering, I always leave an offering) yesterday and plan on making a haw protection necklace just like the rowan berry strands.
So twee, yes?
