This photo was taken about a week ago of the top of my mother’s car.  The frost is in very interesting swirly patterns and the crystals are at least 1/4″ long sticking straight up off the metal.  Looks like ice grass.  Never seen anything like it myself.  Too bad it was my camera phone, I’d love it if it was more crisp.
