Snow!

Not much but 2-3″ is enough to give everything a lovely clean face. I love the quiet too. I did have to come in to work but I was able to wait until later for the roads to clear. They expect more tonight but it might be gone in the morning.

The lovely weeping birch in my neighbors yard. It is full west
from my windows. I spend a lot of time talking to this tree and swaying with
it in the wind. The crows love this tree too. Easy to see why.

I spent the weekend hibernating. Turned off that phone and it was lovely. Want to do that again very soon. Like this next weekend. Think I will. I slept a lot, did some cooking, some cleaning, some reading, some shopping, but mostly I slept or sewed. Watched Riding Around in Cars with Boys which reminded me horribly about my one and only marriage at 20. *eeeeew* Also watched Practical Magic. Don’t know why but it is currently my favorite movie. I guess because it lets her have two true loves. And she got exactly what she asked for, even though she made it as preposterous as she could, the right guy still showed up. 😉

I made big progress on the Wheel of the Year wall hanging project, I have 6 of the 8 pieces 95% done (I leave a little fudge room in case I get an inspiration. 4 were already good to go so that means I finished 2 this weekend, and I made good progress on a third.

I am currently in love with the Litha piece the most. Some of the water erasable pen is still on this, can take a couple passes with the sprayer to make it all disappear.

The New and Improved Man List

These are all about ME and what I want. They are not about anyone else nor do they reflect judgment about anyone else. This is all about getting clarity for ME. Period. These are also things I plan to deliver to the best of my ability to this partner. I don’t ask for much. *laugh* Many of these things are just details and tangents on a theme, do one of them the odds are you do the rest, but Goddess is in the details.

Bards of Caer Pugetia

This group is headed up by my High Priest from Outer Grove, Leon Reed. I adore Leon.  Fine teacher, fine researcher, lovely human.  I have a few other friends who go, think I might stop in and check it out.

Humor with a dose of real – or is that spiritual

Christine Kane – Being Real and Being Spiritual

I went back read a bunch of my recent posts and I see how all over the map I’ve been. One day I’m done, don’t want The Ex as a friend, the next I do. And you know what, I really do. Probably never again a see you once a week talk on the phone for hours friend but at least someone I can see at an event of some sort, smile, hug, and really mean it when I ask, “How are you doing?”  But it would be good to have more than that.

The part of me who doesn’t is the part of me that is still hurt. Major crying jag last night on the phone with my friend Jackie. Today I feel just fine.

I was thinking about my new friend Jackie and realized that my new cat, Lao Mao, actually came to me named Jackie. And hasn’t really taken to her new name at all. I think, in honor of my new and treasured friend Jackie, my new and treasured cat will continue to have that name as well. It suddenly fits very well. That cat has just won my heart. Jackie.
