Applied for food stamps today. I’ve applied for all kinds of jobs, temp agencies, what have you.  The want ads are just bleak.  My mom looked at them yesteday, she couldn’t believe it.  Unless I want to go fishing in Alaska, there’s just nothing.  If the special deals I’ve been offering don’t pan out by May 5th, I am going to have to relinquish my car.  All kinds of magic for prosperity has been happening but right now I have to choose between my car and my storage lockers. I’d rather give up the car and get a used one (I bet there will be lots of great deals on used cars, lots of folks having to give up the second car) when I get a job than give up 50 years of the evidence of my life.

Book of Shadows

For years I began work on Books of Shadows.  As an arty kind of gal I wanted to make one pretty.  But as a witch, I’m simply not that active.  I’d get the beginning pages going, things like laws and The Charge of the Goddess and the Wiccan Rede and then I’d stop. Because I didn’t do a lot of spell work, I don’t do a lot of divination, and I never put together my own sabbat and esbat rituals.  I have 2 of these books which stopped before they got started.

Mac and Cheese

Just a litte update. Needing the comfort food these days.

Every spring for the last 4 years, my cycles speed up.  I can have 5-6 cycles in three months time.  And then back to normal.  When it first started happening I was joyous as I thought since it was combined with hot flashes etc that perhaps the cycles would end.  But nope.  Every spring things speed up and then go back to normal.   Which means I have a migraine.  Again.  Gah.

Tonight is Outer Grove and I really want to go.  Will see if I can overcome the migraine as Outer Grove night is the highlight of my week.  Next week, no Outer Grove as we will be celebrating Beltaine at the covenstead.  Which is the highlight of my week times two. Continue reading →
